The film maps the effects of the unresolved conflict on the island’s environment, and discusses the long-term effects on Cyprus’s fragile ecosystem in the face of climate change.

Focusing on the northern part of Cyprus, the documentary charts the ways that over-construction, insufficient waste management, unregulated mining and plastic pollution contaminate the island’s water, soil, sea and air in ways that checkpoints cannot stop.

The film pushes the viewer to rethink the decades-old Cyprus problem in light of impending climate catastrophe, and shows the necessity of bicommunal collaboration for real and lasting change.

The project is supported by the Grow Civic Programme run by Civic Space and funded by the EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community.
