A host of international experts contributed to the PRIO Cyprus Centre's and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung's joint event to combat human trafficking.
The event, "International Best Practices in Combating Human Trafficking", addressed issues that concern victim identification and services, national referral mechanisms, the role of the police, demand, labor trafficking, and the situation in both communities in Cyprus
Experts from Cyprus, Austria, Germany, Greece, Israel, Palestine, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States discussed and shared their experiences on key aspects of human trafficking and best practices in combating it.
