The UN Good Offices Mission in Cyprus hosted a meeting between Canada's Special Envoy for Women, Peace and Security, Ambassador Jacqueline O'Neill, and the Cyprus Women Bicommunal Coalition (CWBC) on 11 September 2024. Ipek Borman attended the meeting as part of the CWBC delegation, where they exchanged messages with Ambassador O'Neill and her team on the peace process, how to ensure women's voices are fully heard at the negotiating table and how to effectively gender mainstream future peace talks.
