Contemporary Crises and Challenges: the Role of Science in Prevention and Response This year's, 6th, Interdisciplinary Forum of the Graduate School of the University of Cyprus, to be held on 4-5 December, revisits the role of science in navigating today’s crises, challenging us to think beyond our fields and engage with the realities of today's society. Specialist knowledge, no matter how advanced, gains meaning only when placed within a wider, multidimensional understanding of the world. In this spirit we invite you to our panel, on 4th December at 3pm, starting with a Documentary Screening revealing the environmental dystopia on the island's north, followed by a discussion panel on The environmental reality in our divided island. We discuss social, legal, governance, urbanist and policy dimensions as well as the impact of visual media and art in public engagement for acting upon this environmental reality. It is open and you are cordially invited! Overall duration:1.30hr.
