War has reshaped Israel’s security landscape, but not its strategic destination. That is the underlying message from two Israeli policy voices who spoke to LevantIntel in Nicosia. Military force has delivered tactical results, yet failed to produce lasting political outcomes.
Nimrod Goren, co-founder and executive board member of Diplomeds and founder and president of Mitvim, and Nadav Tamir, executive director of J Street Israel and former Israeli diplomat, were part of a delegation of EPICON, an EU-funded project implemented by the Berlin-based Candid Foundation.
The delegation was hosted at PRIO headquarters in Nicosia, where discussions focused on current political realities in Israel and Palestine. Their assessment is that the next phase will depend less on the battlefield and more on diplomacy, elections and regional alignment.
