The Barcelona Summer School of the Mediterranean and the Middle East is a joint initiative of Istitut Barcelone Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) and Blanquerna – Universitat Ramón Llull. The School comprises two separate but complementary parts. The first part consists of several short courses on the politics and international relations of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, taught by experts of international repute. The second part includes interactive roundtables focused on the various policy challenges the two regions face. This unique dual structure enables the programme to cater to the needs of students and practitioners.
The School’s partners are: PRIO Cyprus Centre; The Aga Khan University; Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB); European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMED); Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia (DIPLOCAT); Centre de Culture Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB); Municipality of Barcelona; Government of Catalunya.
