Energy in Cyprus and East Mediterranean

From the very beginning of hydrocarbon findings in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean, since 2011, the PCC has been at the forefront of research as well as public dialogue on the subject. To this day, it remains the key reference point for objective information and analysis. In addition to research, the Centre organizes conferences, meetings and events on the subject in Cyprus and abroad, on its own or teaming up with other major institutions. At the same time, since 2023, an initiative has been undertaken to intensify efforts and dedicate work also on the environmental aspects of energy, green energy, and energy transition in the broader region and the PCC has decided to contribute more to such initiatives
